My Lamps are decorative objects sometimes giving out the smallest of light emissions, creating mood rather than functional light. I use press-moulded spheres to make my work; the sphere is a universal shape that alludes to both natural and man-made forms. My inspiration comes from a variety of sources including planets, seed-pods, pollen grains and sea-life.
I am also inspired by the illustrations of Edward Gorey, Tim Burton, David Roberts and Dr. Seuss and aim to capture some of their quirkiness in my own work.
Each lamp is made up of joined spheres with various surfaces and textures. I try to use colour and form to create a sense of animation.
